Reasons for Getting Jealous

What are the reasons to be jealous? This is a very powerful emotion that often arises with no valid reason at all and often time leads to tragedy. In mythology, this is associated with a green monster for this more often irrational emotion can destroy a beautiful relationship. It is normal to feel this way though but not to an excessive extent for it is suffocating your loved one.

Trust is very vital ingredient in a relationship especially if you are having a long distance love affair. Trusting someone you love so dearly is surrendering your heart with full confidence and unconditional affection. Unfounded jealousy makes us do crazy things though it is not really bad to be jealous. It is healthy if you feel it once in a while for it is a normal human reaction.

More often jealousy occurs due to insecurity leading to doubts and mistrust. This is indeed an unpleasant emotion and can be very stressful for both partners. The feeling can lead to misunderstandings affecting a beautiful relationship. Love must always be equated with trust and transparency.

Sometimes jealousy arises for some good reasons more particularly if your mate has a history of infidelity and giving the person a second chance is already a good ground. You have all the reasons to keep a watchful eye on your mate to prevent from committing the same blunder. If you love someone and you feel somebody else is trying to steal your loved one from you, then you have the reason to be jealous.

Jealousy is one of the most powerful blinding emotions of any normal human being. The things that can overcome this more often unreasonable emotion are great self-confidence and a healthy ego. It is healthy to be jealous once in a while when it is founded on sound and logical reasons. It turns out to be unhealthy when it recurs constantly on unfounded and baseless thoughts or actions.
